Coliter ® Anti-Theft Ball Valve – PN16, -20°C to 180°C, Tamper-Proof Design for Utility Meter Protection
QA Anti-Theft Ball Valve – Fully Enclosed Handle with Dedicated Tool Operation to Prevent Unauthorized Bypass in Water & Gas Systems
The Coliter® QA Anti-Theft Ball Valve is a specialized shut-off valve engineered to prevent illegal tampering, unauthorized access, or meter bypass in residential and commercial water and gas distribution networks. Featuring a fully enclosed protective cap or sealed handle housing, the valve can only be operated using a proprietary tool issued to authorized utility personnel—effectively deterring theft, fraud, and unsafe interventions. Constructed from high-quality forged brass (HPb59-1) with a robust stainless steel (304/316) stem and PTFE seats/seals, it delivers bubble-tight shut-off, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability. Rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) for water service and suitable for working pressures of 0.1–0.5 MPa in gas applications, it operates across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +180°C. Compatible with standard media including water, gas, oil, nitric acid, and acetic acid, the QA valve complies with GB/T 12224 (design), ISO 228 (threading), and GB/T 13927 (testing). Available in sizes from DN6 (1/4") to DN100 (4") with female/male BSP/NPT threads, it is commonly installed upstream or downstream of smart meters in apartment buildings, public utilities, and industrial metering stations. Its compact quarter-turn design ensures quick emergency shut-off while maintaining regulatory compliance and revenue protection for utility operators.

Introduction to Anti thefe ball valve
Coliter®’s anti-theft ball valves are specialized shut-off valves designed to prevent unauthorized access, tampering, or bypass of utility meters in gas and water distribution systems. Featuring a fully enclosed handle or protective cap that requires a dedicated tool for operation, these valves ensure regulatory compliance and revenue protection for utilities. Constructed from high-quality forged brass with PTFE seals, they offer bubble-tight shut-off, quarter-turn operation, and durability under working pressures of 0.1–0.5 MPa (for gas) or PN16 (1.6 MPa) (for water), with operating temperatures from -20°C to +80°C. Commonly installed upstream/downstream of smart meters in residential and commercial buildings, the anti-theft design deters illegal connections while allowing authorized personnel quick access during emergencies or maintenance.
