D71X Wafer Butterfly Valve – Ductile Iron Body with Stainless Steel Disc and Elastomer Seal for Bubble-Tight Shut-Off
The Coliter® D71X Wafer Butterfly Valve is a compact, lightweight, and economical manual butterfly valve designed for efficient on-off and throttling control in water supply, sewage, HVAC, fire protection, and light industrial systems. Featuring a wafer-style design, it installs directly between two pipeline flanges without end connections, minimizing space, weight, and installation cost. The valve consists of a nodular (ductile) cast iron body, a corrosion-resistant stainless steel disc and shaft, and a replaceable elastomer seat made of NBR, EPDM, PTFE, or silicone rubber—selected based on media compatibility—ensuring reliable, bubble-tight sealing. Rated for PN10/16 (1.0–1.6 MPa), it undergoes shell testing at up to 2.4 MPa and seal testing at 1.76 MPa, with an operating temperature range of -10℃ to 80℃ (extendable to 120℃ with EPDM). Compliant with international standards ISO 5752 and Chinese standard GB/T 12238, the D71X offers bidirectional sealing, low torque operation, and minimal pressure drop due to its streamlined flow path. Its simple yet robust structure allows it to handle slurry with little liquid retention at the pipeline mouth, making it ideal for space-constrained installations requiring quick, reliable, and maintenance-friendly flow control.

The series includes the D71X manual wafer type, D371X worm gear operated model, D6/971X pneumatic/electric actuated versions, and high-performance D373H stainless steel hard-sealed valve.
