700X Pump Control Valve – Electromagnetic Pilot-Operated Valve for Controlled Pump Shutdown and Surge Protection in Water Systems

The Coliter® 700X Pump Control Valve is a hydraulically operated, electromagnetically controlled valve designed to provide safe, automatic, and water hammer-free shutdown of centrifugal pumps in water supply systems. Installed on the discharge side of the pump, it ensures a smooth two-stage closing sequence that eliminates dangerous pressure surges during pump stoppage—protecting pipelines, pumps, and associated equipment. When the pump receives a stop signal, the solenoid pilot valve de-energizes and closes, stopping drainage from the main valve’s control chamber. Inlet pressure then builds in the chamber, causing the main valve to close rapidly to about 90%. At this point, a travel switch triggers the pump motor to shut off. The remaining 10% closure is completed slowly by return flow from the downstream pipeline through an integrated check mechanism, fully dissipating residual kinetic energy. This intelligent staged closure prevents water hammer without requiring external power for the main actuation. The complete system includes a main valve, electromagnetic pilot valve, needle valve, ball valves, check valve, travel switch, micro filter, and pressure gauges. Constructed from ductile iron with epoxy coating and brass internals, rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa), and suitable for media temperatures up to 80°C, it is designed exclusively for clean water applications. Available in sizes from DN20 to DN800 with flanged end connections per GB/T 17241.6. Widely used in high-rise buildings, residential complexes, urban water supply projects, and industrial pumping stations, the 700X delivers reliable, energy-efficient, and maintenance-friendly pump protection—ensuring quiet, stable, and long-lasting system operation.

Product Description

The 700X water pump control valve consists of a main valve, solenoid pilot valve, needle valve, ball valve, check valve, travel switch, micro filter and pressure gauge to form a hydraulic control takeover system. When the pump needs to stop working, the main valve is closed by 90% by the inlet pressure, and then the pump stops running. The remaining 10% is closed by the return water. Prevents the occurrence of water hammer. When the water pump stops working, the solenoid pilot valve closes first, the main valve control room stops draining water, the pressure in the control room rises, and the main valve starts to close. Energy saving, easy maintenance, stable pump shutdown, widely used in high-rise buildings, living areas and other water supply pipe network systems and urban water supply projects.

Coliter®’s pump control valves provide fully automatic, multi-functional protection for centrifugal pumps in water supply, fire protection, and HVAC systems—eliminating water hammer, backflow, and motor overload without external power. The series includes the JD745X diaphragm-type multifunctional pump control valve, which integrates shut-off, check, and slow-closing functions in one unit using pilot-controlled hydraulic operation, and the 700X hydraulic pressure relief/flow control valve for pump bypass and overload prevention. Constructed from high-quality ductile iron with epoxy coating and brass internals, these valves operate at PN16 (1.6 MPa) and temperatures up to 80°C. They enable soft start/stop, prevent pipe rupture, reduce maintenance costs, and comply with international pump safety standards—ideal for high-rise buildings, pumping stations, and industrial water networks.
