The Coliter® 400X Flow Control Valve is a multi-function, hydraulically self-operated valve engineered to automatically maintain a constant, pre-set flow rate in water distribution systems—even when upstream or downstream pressure varies significantly. It is widely deployed in high-rise building water supply, industrial process lines, pump-fed municipal networks, and HVAC systems where stable flow delivery is critical for performance, safety, and efficiency. Unlike fixed-orifice throttling devices that waste energy, the 400X uses a high-precision pilot control system to dynamically adjust the main valve opening, minimizing energy loss while precisely regulating flow. The valve can also serve as an emergency shut-off: in the event of pipe rupture or abnormal surge, it fully closes to prevent catastrophic water loss. Key components include a main valve, flow-sensing pilot valve, needle valve, ball valves, micro filter, and pressure gauges. Constructed from ductile iron or cast steel, rated at <PN16 (1.6 MPa), and suitable for media temperatures up to 80°C, it handles clean water only. Available in sizes from DN20 to DN800 with flanged end connections per GB/T 17241.6. With high sensitivity, simple commissioning, and long service life, the 400X delivers intelligent, reliable flow management without external power—making it indispensable for modern variable-pressure water infrastructure.

Product Description

The 400X flow control valve is a multi-function valve that uses high-precision pilot control to control flow. It is applicable to the pipeline where the flow and pressure of the distribution pipe need to be controlled. Keep the predetermined flow unchanged, limit the excessive flow to a predetermined value, and properly reduce the upstream high pressure. Even if the pressure upstream of the main valve changes, the flow downstream of the main valve will not be affected. The valve uses orifice or pure mechanical to reduce the loss of energy in the throttling process. In case of emergency, the 400X flow control valve can completely cut off the flow to avoid loss. High control sensitivity, safety and reliability, simple debugging, long service life. It is widely used in industrial water supply and direct water supply system of high-rise buildings by pumps.
