FZF001 Frost-Proof Drain Ball Valve – Automatic Anti-Freeze Protection for Outdoor Water Lines
The Coliter® FZF001 Frost-Proof Drain Ball Valve is a specialized lead-free ball valve designed to prevent pipe freezing in outdoor or unheated water applications. When closed, its unique internal mechanism automatically drains residual water from the valve body and downstream pipe section through a dedicated drain port, eliminating freeze damage risk. Constructed from forged brass with a chrome-plated ball and PTFE seats, it ensures reliable quarter-turn operation and bubble-tight sealing. The valve features ISO 228 (BSP) parallel female threads and is rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) for water service, with a working temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Compliant with WRAS and ACS standards, the FZF001 is ideal for garden taps, irrigation systems, hose bibbs, and seasonal water outlets in cold climates.
