KB1 Single Port Quick Exhaust Valve – Ductile Iron Body with Stainless Steel Float for Fast Air Venting and Negative Pressure Prevention

The Coliter® KB1 Single Port Quick Exhaust Valve is a high-performance automatic air release valve engineered for rapid removal of large volumes of trapped air during pipeline filling and immediate vacuum intake during drainage or pump shutdown. Installed at high points in water supply systems—such as pump inlets, manifolds, or elevated sections—it significantly improves water delivery efficiency and protects pipelines from deformation or rupture caused by air pockets or negative pressure collapse. Unlike standard exhaust valves, the KB1 features an **enhanced discharge orifice design** that enables faster air release during system startup. When the pipeline is under negative pressure (e.g., during sudden pump stoppage), the valve **automatically inhales air** to prevent dangerous vacuum conditions that could crush pipes. Constructed with a durable ductile iron (QT450) body and a corrosion-resistant stainless steel floating ball, it ensures long service life and reliable sealing. Rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa), it operates within a temperature range of -10℃ to 80℃ and is designed exclusively for clean water applications. Available in sizes from DN25 to DN200, with flanged end connections per standard dimensions. Compliant with relevant Chinese standards, the KB1 is an essential safety and efficiency component in municipal water networks, HVAC systems, fire protection lines, and industrial water circuits—delivering fast, automatic, and fail-safe air management.

Faq - Frequent questions

Coliter®’s exhaust valves automatically vent trapped air from heating, cooling, and water supply pipelines to prevent airlocks, noise, corrosion, and reduced efficiency. The series includes the QB1 single-port flange exhaust valve for main lines, KB1 single-port quick exhaust valve with enhanced discharge speed, and the CARX1.0 compound automatic air release valve that handles both large initial air volumes and micro-bubbles during operation. Constructed from high-quality cast iron or brass with stainless steel float mechanisms, these valves operate at PN16 (1.6 MPa) and temperatures up to 110°C. Ideal for installation at system high points, pump inlets, and manifold tops—ensuring smooth flow, pump protection, and optimal thermal performance in HVAC and plumbing networks.
